On December 22, 2017 as part of the process developed in the Gender and Resilience line, we carried out the presentation of the artistic work. Nono wound is a destination, directed by our practitioner Karol Ramírez. 15 girls and adolescents who were members of the ICBF Hogares María Goretti household participated in it. The work closed the psychosocial process that was carried out during the second semester of 2017 and whose objective was to facilitate and signify stories of violence through art in the beneficiary girls and adolescents.
Based on this work carried out, the Foundation Mi Cuerpo Es Mi Historia “My Body Is My Story” created an alliance with the Fundación Escuela de Baile Combinación Rumbera to grant one of the young participants of the project, an artistic training scholarship in dance. She was brave for having stood out with her talent and to encourage their commitment. However, in accordance with the policies of the home to which the young woman belongs, as well as for legal reasons of her protection, it was not possible for her to take the scholarship. The training process required travel to the headquarters of the dance school, and the young woman could not do it without the accompaniment of a parent or guardian.
Even so, we continue to strengthen the psychosocial process with the girls and adolescents of the home by linking interns, thesis students, and volunteers. If you want to join us to accompany our process and sponsor one of the girls and adolescents in the home, contact us!.
